Lake Geneva in Southern Wisconsin

Tom began his 38 year guiding career on Lake Geneva in Southern Wisconsin. Upon moving to Minnesota it didn’t take him long to establish one of the best multi-species guide service in the country. Tom pursues walleyes, giant crappies, northern pike, and bass with a passion that his clients endure and keep coming back for more. Tom guides on over 30 lakes in his area including the likes of Big Winnibigoshish, Leech, Cass, Bowstring, Sand, Pokegama, Upper Red Lake and many more. His knowledge and professionalism has attracted clients from every walk of life, from the average angler to professional athletes to heads of giant corporations.

Considered by his peers as one of the best jig fisherman around, Tom is one of the most sought after authorities within the fishing industry, not only for corporate sponsorships, but as a contributor to many publications across the U.S. and Canada.

In 2009 Tom was inducted into the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame as a Legendary Guide and was humbled and proud of his selection. In 2015 Tom was inducted into the Minnesota Fishing Hall of Fame as an added accomplishment to his resume. When off the water and ice Tom spends a very busy schedule doing seminars, writing articles, in-store promotions at Cabelas, Gander Mountain. L&M Fleet Supply, Mills Fleet Farm, Reed’s Tackle, Ace Hardware and several other outlets, just to name a few. He also hosts an award winning radio show in the open water months called “Guides Corner” on KMFY Radio. Tom is on the national pro-staffs for some of the biggest names in the angling industry. Rapala, Johnson Outdoors, Lund Boats, Mercury, Aqua-Vu, Daiwa, , Yeti, and Lindner Media Productions. Tom exhibits a passion that his sponsors love and it has carried Tom throughout his career. His involvements have been with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. He serves on 5 different fishery’s committees including the State Walleye Committee, Leech Lake Committee, Red Lake Committee, The Mille Lacs Angling Committee, and the DNR Roundtable Planning Committee.  These are all very important appointments to preserve angling opportunities throughout Minnesota.
